What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Payor Credentialing Specialist, you will handle credentialing processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Your day will involve coordinating with various departments to gather required information and submitting credentialing applications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and efficient communication with healthcare payers.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Manage Credentialing Processes: Oversee the end-to-end credentialing process for healthcare providers
- Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with internal teams to gather necessary documentation
- Submit Applications: Ensure timely submission of credentialing applications to payers
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of credentialing activities and statuses
- Communicate with Payers: Liaise with healthcare payers to resolve any credentialing issues
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage detailed processes accurately
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in Healthcare: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $30.25 – $37.50/hr. based on experience.
