Worried about AI? FOBO – Fear of Becoming Obsolete – is real!
Though we always write our own content for the Rat Race Rebellion site, we decided to let AI write this one for us. Here’s how it played out.
First, I logged on to ChatGPT (the free version) and gave it instructions to write a blog post. The first prompts were as follows:
- AI is having an impact on jobs.
- Many people are looking toward jobs in AI in an effort to be a part of the AI wave rather than risk losing their job to it.
- Please provide a list of at least 10 entry level AI jobs and what they involve.
- Please provide a brief job description of each and the skills and experience a person would need to qualify.
The results were pretty good, so I instructed ChatGPT to write a blog post:
- Based on the above, write a blog post for job seekers looking for remote jobs.
Once it had done that, something was missing, so I instructed it to:
- Please add information about any educational requirements for each of these roles.
- Also, add relevant stats about just AI-related job concerns.
The following post is a result of those prompts.
Artificial Intelligence isn’t just changing how we work—it’s creating entirely new job paths. And the best part? Many of them can be done from your laptop, wherever you are.
Whether you’re pivoting careers, just starting out, or trying to future-proof your income, remote entry-level AI jobs are opening doors to exciting opportunities. If you’ve been wondering how to get in on the AI wave instead of being swept away by it, this guide is for you.
🧠 Why the AI Job Shift Matters: FOBO Is Real
As AI tools become more advanced, people across industries are growing concerned about being replaced by machines. The fear is so common, it has a name: FOBO—Fear of Becoming Obsolete.
Here’s what recent research shows:
-
📉 52% of U.S. workers say they’re more worried than hopeful about AI in the workplace (Pew Research Center, 2025).
-
🤖 22% fear their jobs may be made obsolete by technology—up from 15% in 2021 (Gallup, 2023).
-
🧑💼 41% of managers say they’re hoping to replace employees with AI tools in 2024 (ResumeBuilder Survey via Business Insider, 2024.
-
📊 75% of employees are worried that AI will make their work obsolete (Ernst & Young Study, 2023).
But here’s the good news: AI is also creating jobs—and many are remote and beginner-friendly.
So instead of waiting for the future to happen to you, you can jump in and become part of the AI ecosystem right now.
