Humana offers a full-time, remote opportunity for an Encounter Data Management Professional. This role allows for flexibility as you work from anywhere in the U.S., with occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings. The position requires a 40-hour work week, ensuring a balanced professional schedule.
What Your Day Will Look Like
As an Encounter Data Management Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate submission and reconciliation of encounter data to Medicaid and Medicare. Your day will involve analyzing data, developing business processes, and creating tools to enhance encounter acceptance rates. You will work independently, setting priorities and making decisions while collaborating with various departments to reduce errors and improve processes.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Develop Business Processes: Create efficient methods for submitting and reconciling encounter data to Medicaid/Medicare
- Ensure Compliance: Analyze data to ensure all submissions meet compliance standards
- Enhance Acceptance Rates: Develop tools to improve encounter acceptance rates
- Collaborate with Departments: Work with various departments to identify and reduce errors
- Identify Complex Errors: Use data analysis to identify and resolve issues in the encounter process
Relevant Experience & Skills Required
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of medical claims experience required
- Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Healthcare Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare encounter data and claims processes
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated compensation for this role is $59,300 – $80,900/yr. based on experience.
